It's Healthy Here: Basic Leadership Tools and Techniques
Someone once said, “Leadership would be easy if it weren’t for the people.” If you work with people you probably already know something is wrong. You might already be frustrated with 15-25% of the people you work with and you are bordering on anger. You are not alone. Research over the past 30 years confirms that only 21-30% of employees are engaged. This means only a small percentage actually care about you, the company, and the customers enough to put in extra effort. Other studies show trust levels between employees and leadership at historic lows. Why is this happening and what can we do?
This presentation delivers proven strategies and tools to help leaders to understand how they must change first before they can expect others to change. These tools have been proven over the past 12 years to increase employee productivity, job satisfaction, and profitability, while reducing turnover and absenteeism in a variety of different types of organizations including manufacturing, government, service, and medical.
To achieve exceptional results today’s leaders must be prepared to understand and implement three strategies:
• Manage the context of the organization and STOP managing people. Lead people instead.
• Focus on the quality of the interactions between people and not the quality of the people
• Manage the variation in trust and teach people to self-manage their own trust
Current leadership tools, such as the typical performance review, are failing to deliver needed results. In this interactive presentation both the neophyte manager all the way up to the most seasoned senior executives can learn new ways to engage employees and accomplish more without burnout.
In this 60 minute webinar the author and leadership consultant Wally Hauck, PhD begins to provide answers including:
• Three principled strategies that any manager/leader can implement immediately in their teams
• How to create an environment of engagement and accountability
• A quantum leap leadership model that helps any manager/leader to achieve higher quality results with their team
• Tools and checklists to create the proper environment for optimum communication between individuals and the organizational system
